The Paracensus is a reconstruction mainly prepared by the consolidation of contemporary records about the people of that era and their families. Some family records and literary references are included. A few Maori and Aboriginal family records are also included. Sources on personal information about each of them are listed.


The population of the fifteen British sites around Australia (ie. Port Jackson-Botany Bay, Norfolk Island (2), O'Sullivan's Cove (Port Phillip), King Island, Morton Bay, Van Diemen's Land, New Guinea, Ambon, Albany, Melville Island, New Zeland, Swan River, the Kimberleys, and Cape Baron and the colony of Americans on Kangaroo Island neared 100,000 by 1828.
